Who I am in Christ is amazing, exciting, and gives me new life each day. When I meditate on the truth of who I am in Christ, my spirit is renewed. My understanding of God’s love deepens as I realize the greatness of how this love has changed my life and continues to shape who I am. Reading through God’s Word, I find statements of truth by Christ about who I am, where I am, and unending promises of love, hope and security.
This is a beginning of a series called “Who I am – Meditations of Truth and Faith”
I am a child of God. John 1:12 “Yet to all who received him, to all to all those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” NIV.
I have believed in Jesus, I have received him into my heart as Lord and Savior. Therefore, based on this truth, I am a child of God. No matter what this day will bring, I will be secure in the truth of the love of God. Knowing I am a child of God gives me strength and a spirit of power within because I know He is always there by my side.
Even if you do not believe in Jesus yet as your Lord, He loves you anyway. You are a creation of God. He knew you before you were born and He knows you by name. He wants you to know him and he wants to have a relationship with you. God is Spirit and his desire is to be with you forever.
Maybe you never knew the love of a biological father or maybe the relationship with your natural father is not a good one. If so, you may have difficulty understanding the fatherly love of God in heaven. His love for you is real and his heart’s desire is for you to know him. Call to him and tell him you want to know him.
God is my father!
